MFA: Status

 

Physical Exhibition Design

Barrier around the "widgets" containing work

Different views denotate year levels: Entrance view MFA 2; opposite sides PMFA or MFA 1

Back sides of MFA boards will have process

Lighting on peripheries dim

Inside area variations of lighting

BFA + MFA Decisions.

 

Undergrad show title! If____ then_____

Grad show title: Point at it: Lenses of Intention or (Lenses of Intent)

Grad/undergrad publicity: Will be handled seperately with some exceptions: e-blasts, press release, splash page

Grad/undergrad budget: each gets $2k

Four available iPads will be shared

BFA show will have a voculary of display units that can be used in different ways to show different types of work

MFA show will use viewing direction to indicate year-level of work; "widget" will contain work

Physical exhibition

Resolve exhibition layout (what goes where)

Determine vocabulary of display units and number of units of each type required

Determine construction of display units and create prototypes

Determine treatment for give-away area

Design entrance wall treatment

Confirm work to be included from each year level and display strategy on units

Work out color palette and how it will be applied to identify each year level

Work out strategy and design for labels, project descriptions, and identification of year levels
